很突然地，多家外電報導在《惡靈古堡 8》（Resident Evil Village）飾演其中一名女巫的 Jeanette Maus 已經於近日因病離世。
根據 Hollywood Reporter 等多家外電披露，Jeanette Maus 經過 8 個月抗病歷程，1 月 24 日不幸因結腸癌病逝。
在 IMDb 資料庫記載，Maus 出生於 1982 年，事業橫跨影劇、配音，並在一家工作室教授演戲等，代表作有《Charm City Kings》、《Dismissed》、《Your Sister's Sister》，他這次在《惡靈古堡 8》飾演多名角色，其中一個就是之前 Showcase 當中出現的城堡女巫。
家人在群眾集資平台 GoFundMe 發起的募資活動，透露 Maus 不僅是一名克隆氏症（Crohn's disease）患者，並且感染了武漢肺炎（COVID-19，新冠肺炎）。
遊戲未上市就聽聞惡耗，讓人無限感慨，Capcom 第一開發部亦在官方帳號發推悼念。
