在即將到來的《英雄聯盟》26.7 版本更新中，官方將再次出手懲罰掛機玩家，如果因為有人掛機而輸掉排位戰，他所獲得的聯盟分數（LP）將退回給其他沒有掛機的隊友們。
《英雄聯盟》首席遊戲設計師 Matt Leung-Harrison 推文透露，下個版本更新中將允許玩家在排位賽中因 AFK（掛機）而損失聯盟分數時獲得「refund」。
同時考量到機制可能被濫用，他們正在進一步完善應對措施，例如有人為了分數故意 AFK 或是惡意使他們 AFK 等特殊情形，更多細節將在版本更新中說明。
As of this patch we rolled out an update so AFKs on your team refund full LP to the non afks.

We are working further on our remediation strategy when disruptive behavior occurs and accounting for edge cases (like people afk wintrading, bullying others into afking, etc.)
